    Hi, can you explain why so many Districts have classified their results / psych sheets / heat sheets?
    Many of us parents are wondering why all the secrecy. Thanks

    Hi Juliee -

    I'm not really sure why some coaches and districts refuse to make their pschye sheets and results available. My best guess is that the coaches want to control the information because they believe that it will give them an advantage by not letting other teams and coaches know what their times are and what events their swimmers are entered in. In my opinion, as a swim coach, if you've done the best of your ability to get your swimmers to swim fast, that should be the least of your worries.

      It's a bit ridiculous. Especially considering most of these high school coaches don't coach the top swimmers (they swim for club teams and represent the high schools at the meet). In this age of MeetMobile results should be instantaneous. After all, 6 swimmers move on from districts and the entries can't be changed. How much strategy is there? I believe it's because the High School coaches do so little (not hating, just stating a fact) that they over control what they can.

Life News Update

For those of you still following this blog. I am moving to Virginia Beach, Virginia next month. My wife, Virginia, was offered and accepted a teaching position in the Virginia Beach area (Norfolk) and we are making the move.
